Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development is a research institute within the Łukasiewicz Research Network. It focuses on development of new technologies, resulting from basic and applied research performed at the Institute in the area of biotechnology. These technologies, in turn, serve as a basis for innovative solutions for the industry. The Center is located on a historical campus of Pracze in Wroclaw in Southwestern Poland. It currently employs more than 250 scientists and support staff in four Centres: Biotechnology, Biomedicine (including state-of-the-art Biobank), Materials Science and Engineering and a well-equipped Core Facility.

Laboratory of Genome Dynamics (led by dr Michal Malewicz) located at the Life Science Biotechnology Center (LSnBC) focuses on in dissecting the mechanisms of cellular response to DNA damage (DDR). The position will involve studying the mechanisms of mammalian DNA damage inducible cell cycle checkpoints using state-of-the-art methods of molecular and cell biology. Project is financed through NCN OPUS grant and focuses on dissection of molecular mechanisms governing G2/M checkpoints induction in human cells and on how these checkpoint are dysregulated in lung cancers.
